Lofty Coffee, a seemingly locals only spot tucked away on Cedros Avenue in Solana Beach is an emblematic California coffee spot. If you're from the area, expect to see at least a few familiar faces and some furry ones as well. The same ambiance can be found only a few miles away at Lofty's Encinitas location. Further south, the coffee shop's Little Italy Location offers an urban feel while still awarding a beachside aura with the San Diego Waterfront just blocks away. Featuring a full menu from espresso and tea to açai and paninis, Lofty is bound to satisfy any and all customers.
In the last year Lofty debuted their new menu addition, an "Organic Açai Bowl." The naturally sweetened dish comes served with peanut butter, gluten free granola, season fresh fruit, cacao nibs, toasted coconut, chia, and hemp seeds. Priced at $12, the bowl comes to par with nearby competition. To set themselves apart, Lofty uses "scooped" açai offering a texture closely resembling that of ice cream. The sweetness of cacao and coconut paired with the savory flavor of peanut butter creates a burst of vigor with each bite. Paired with an Aztec Mocha or Turkish Latte, the California classic açai bowl will set itself apart from the crowd and ensure a full and content belly.
